Developers should instead remove the usage of these.

This will make adding the splash screen in your futter application easy.

The package provides many features like various widgets and customization parameters for the splash screen.

You first need to add it to your list of dependencies, and to do so, copy the code given below in your. yaml file:

Migrating from manifest / activity defined custom splash screens.

Previously, android flutter apps would either set io. flutter. embedding. android. splashscreendrawable in their application manifest, or implement providesplashscreen within their flutter activity.

This would be shown momentarily in between the time after the android launch screen.

For anybody having this issue still and the solution(s) over at github don't seem to be working:.

In your main androidmanifest. xml file, you probably have these lines given as a solution from the aforementioned github answer:

Splash screen configuration for a given flutter experience.

Implementations provide a visual representation of a splash screen in createsplashview (context, bundle), and implement a transition from the splash ui to flutter's ui in transitiontoflutter (runnable).

If you have previously implemented a custom splash screen in android 11 or lower, you’ll need to migrate your app to the splashscreen api to ensure that it displays correctly in android 12 and higher.

Starting in android 12, the system always applies the new android system default splash screen on cold and warm starts for all apps.

By default, this system default.

Android flutter apps would either set io. flutter. embedding. android. splashscreendrawable in their application manifest, or implement providesplashscreen within their flutter activity.

This is deprecated from flutter 2. 5 and no longer supported.

The fix is to remove the below code snippped

Create a new flutter app using command prompt.

Delete the code from main. dart file and copy the below code.

We have a main () function which calls runapp () by taking any widget as an argument to create the layout.

Then we have the home as myhomepage () which is a stateful class (mutable class).

We need to set android and ios parameters to true to tell the package to create an app splash screen for both platforms.

I have checked out the given link (which is not that clear btw) and tells me to remove the o. flutter. embedding. android. splashscreendrawable api as flutter now automatically displays the splash.
